Information:
King Kashmir’s sire, Kashmir van Schuttershof, has been among the world’s most successful breeding stallions for many years. After a top-level sport career under Philippe Le Jeune, the Nabab de Rêve son developed into one of Belgium’s leading sires. His most renowned offspring is undoubtedly H&M All In, former European Champion and Olympic silver medalist with Sweden’s Peder Fredricson. Other notable descendants include Aachen winner Gazelle, ridden by Kent Farrington, and Olympic team gold medalist Réveur de Hurtebise HDC, ridden by Kevin Staut. King Kashmir’s grandsire, Mylord Carthago, was for years one of France’s top show jumpers under Pénélope Leprévost and has since made a lasting impact in breeding.
Although King Kashmir TN’s pedigree suggests a Belgian background, he actually descends from a true German performance line. The DSP-bred stallion traces back to an originally Westphalian dam line.
Granddam Pret-A-Porter produced, among others, the DSP premium stallion Esplendido and the talented jumper Pippi Lotta, ridden by Detlef Kaiser Jr. Great-granddam Pyrah, a successful daughter of Pilot, produced the Grand Prix showjumping mare Pandora. Pyrah is also the granddam of several Grand Prix jumpers, including Annabella 7, Prince Nandor, Paraplui, Windline, and Zandiro.
At the DSP stallion licensing, King Kashmir TN made a strong impression with his appealing presence, easy movement, and above all, his outstanding jumping style. Time and again, he jumps with an elevated wither, showing excellent use of his body and superb technique. As his pedigree suggests, King Kashmir TN demonstrates unlimited scope.
